TOWSON, Md. — The Landmark Conference today recognized 20 student-athletes from Goucher and another 204 from its other member institutions for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the 2014 Winter Academic Honor Roll.

TOWSON, Md. — Men’s swimmer Morgan Richter, who captured conference titles in the 100 and 200-yard butterfly, and women’s basketball guard Sharnell Huff, who established several milestones during the final month of her career, have been selected as Goucher’s Male and Female Gophers of the Month for February.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher’s Sharnell Huff, who led the Landmark Conference in 3-pointers made and was second overall in points per game, has been rewarded by the league’s coaches with a second-team all-conference selection. She becomes the first Gopher to be recognized by the conference since Amber Smith earned second-team honors in 2009-10.

SCRANTON, Pa. — The 2013-14 women’s basketball season came to a close this afternoon, with Goucher dropping a 92-48 decision to conference-leading Scranton, which entered the game receiving votes in both the D3hoops.com and USA Today Coaches national polls.

TOWSON, Md. — For the second time this season, Goucher held its own against perennial powerhouse Catholic, but the Gophers ultimately fell 62-55 to the Cardinals in the final home game for seniors Sharnell Huff and Precious Kollock.

TOWSON, Md. — For the first 32 minutes of tonight’s game against Drew, everything was going smoothly for Goucher. A 3-pointer from Sharnell Huff gave the Gophers a 52-38 advantage with 8:09 left to play.

TOWSON, Md. — The Goucher College women’s basketball program will host its annual “Pink Zone” Play4Kay event this Saturday during its 7:15 home matchup against Drew. In addition to the game, breast cancer awareness T-shirts and bands will be sold prior to and during the contest. Seventy-five percent of the funds raised from sales will be donated to the Play4Kay fund.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher held a 58-50 lead with 2:34 to go in tonight’s contest against Juniata, but the Eagles scored the final eight points of regulation and continued their momentum in overtime, sending the shorthanded Gophers to a tough 68-64 defeat at the Decker Sports & Recreation Center.

KINGS POINT, N.Y. — Goucher jumped out to an 20-point lead in the first half, then withstood a furious rally from Merchant Marine after the intermission before ultimately holding on for a 62-59 victory to wrap up a season sweep of the Mariners.
