TOWSON, Md. — The Landmark Conference, which is in its seventh year of competition, today recognized 267 student-athletes for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the 2013 Fall Academic Honor Roll. Thirty of the honorees are from Goucher.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher placed one player on the 2013 All-Landmark Conference Women's Soccer Team, which was unveiled today. Caroline McDowell (Alfred, N.Y./Alfred-Almond Central), a senior who played center back for the Gophers this season, made the select squad as a second-team defender.

TOWSON, Md. — A sophomore goalkeeper who broke the women's soccer program's single-season record for shutouts and a junior defender who turned the men's soccer team into a contender for the Landmark Conference playoffs have been selected Goucher's Female and Male Gophers of the Month for October.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Goucher has essentlally been in "comeback mode" ever since getting off to an 0-3 start in the Landmark Conference this season, but the Gophers pulled off victories over Catholic and Susquehanna over the past 11 days to put themselves in a position where they would make the conference playoffs with a victory over Moravian today.

ROSEMONT, Pa. — Goucher prepared for its upcoming win-and-you're-in game against Moravian by picking up its sixth 1-0 victory of the season tonight, this one over Rosemont.

TOWSON, Md. — Juliana Harkavy (Memphis, Tenn./Ridgeway), who is on the verge of becoming the all-time leader in shutouts for the Goucher women's soccer program, today was named Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week in the Landmark Conference for October 21-27.

TOWSON, Md. — The longer Goucher and Susquehanna remained deadlocked in a scoreless tie today, the closer the Gophers came to being knocked out of contention for one of the three berths in the Landmark Conference's upcoming postseason tournament that had yet to be filled. A tie was really of no benefit to head coach Tati Korba's squad; only a win would keep their playoff hopes alive.

TOWSON, Md. -- A 63rd minute blast from Katherine Matthew-Parker lifted the Goucher women’s soccer team to a much-needed 1-0 win over Catholic from a chilly Beldon Field tonight. The victory is the first in Landmark play this season for the Gophers, and it keeps them in the hunt for a spot in the conference tournament.

MADISON, N.J. — Following basically the same script for the third game in a row, Goucher spotted its opponent the first goal, came back to even the score before the end of the first half, but then surrendered another goal in the second half that provided the opponent with a lead it would not relinquish.
