Landmark Conference Issues Winter Academic Honor Roll

MADISON, N.J. — The Landmark Conference, which is in its fourth year of competition and is comprised of eight like-minded institutions in the mid-Atlantic region, today recognized 202 student-athletes for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the 2011 Winter Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll. Fourteen of the honorees are from Goucher.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher swimmers went 1-2-3 in the 200-yard freestyle, the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard backstroke this evening as the Gophers were claiming their third victory of the season, a 110-73 triumph over Notre Dame (Md.).

Goucher Swimmers Finish 1-2 in Four Individual Events

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher produced either the first-place performer or the runner-up — and, in some cases, both — in every contested individual event in today's meet against Arcadia with the exception of the 200-yard backstroke. The Gophers also picked up their second win of the season, a 105-87 triumph over Arcadia.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Junior Sarah Eastland (Sebastopol, Calif./Analy) earned 27 points for Goucher with first-place performances in three individual events, but the Gophers still suffered a 170-87 setback to Catholic in a Landmark Conference meet this afternoon.

Gophers Open 2010-11 Season, Bow to Crusaders

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Goucher opened its 2010-11 season today with a dual meet against Susquehanna, one of the three teams which finished ahead of head coach Tom Till's Gophers at last year's Landmark Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Championships. The Crusaders, who produced the first-place finisher in 10 of the 12 individual events, prevailed 172-82.
