MADISON, N.J. - The Landmark Conference today announced the names of the 32 student-athletes who make up the 2007-08 Winter Landmark All-Academic Team, which recognizes two male and two female athletes who have excelled athletically and academically from each of the eight Landmark institutions.

STERLING, Va. - Shadae Swan (Baltimore, MD/St. Frances Academy), who recently completed her career as the second-leading all-time scorer in the history of Goucher's women's basketball program, is a second-team selection of the 2007-08 D3hoops.com All-Atlantic Region Women's Basketball Team, which was revealed today.

MADISON, N.J. - Four women's basketball players were among the 30 student-athletes from Goucher who were recognized today by the Landmark Conference for academic accomplishments by being placed on the 2007-08 Winter Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll.

MADISON, N.J. - Goucher's Shadae Swan (Baltimore, MD/St. Frances Academy), the leading scorer in the Landmark Conference this season, is a first-team selection on the 2007-08 All-Landmark Conference Women's Basketball Team, which was revealed today.

TOWSON, Md. - The three Goucher players in uniform for the final games of their collegiate careers combined to score 40 points this evening, but the Gophers still came up short against Catholic, 72-61.

TOWSON, Md. - Any chance Goucher had of knocking off Scranton at home this afternoon and preventing its losing streak from reaching double figures was doused by its shooting performance. A season-low .266 shooting percentage by the Gophers played a major role in the Royals securing an 83-53 Landmark Conference victory.

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher's Amber Smith (Baltimore, MD/Institute of Notre Dame) was the game's leading scorer and rebounder as she finished with a career-high 20 points and grabbed 12 boards, but the Gophers still fell to Moravian, 72-62, in Landmark Conference action this evening.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Together, Shadae Swan (Baltimore, MD/St. Frances Academy) and Leia Roberts-Brown (Washington, DC/Archbishop Carroll) scored 30 points, which is one more than the combined point total of Juniata's five starters. But bench scoring proved to be the difference today at the Eagles defeated the Gophers, 61-53, in Landmark Conference action.

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Goucher's losing streak reached seven games when the Gophers suffered an 81-54 Landmark Conference loss to Susquehanna this evening.

KINGS POINT, N.Y. - Shadae Swan (Baltimore, MD/St. Frances Academy) was held to a season-low 11 points today as Goucher suffered a 78-55 Landmark Conference loss to Merchant Marine.

MADISON, N.J. - Goucher's Shadae Swan (Baltimore, MD/St. Frances Academy) scored at least 20 points for the eighth consecutive game - and the 15th time this season - in this evening's Landmark Conference contest against Drew. Her 21-point effort allowed her to attain a milestone and also pass her head coach in career points, but it wasn't enough to lead the Gophers to victory.

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher scored the final 10 points of the first half to assume a 30-29 lead over Susquehanna this afternoon, but then the Crusaders opened the second half with 16 unanswered points and they went on to register a 61-49 Landmark Conference victory over the Gophers.

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher didn't take full advantage of Juniata's slow start in this evening's Landmark Conference game - and wound up paying for it as the Eagles defeated the Gophers, 65-61.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Shadae Swan (Baltimore, MD/St. Frances Academy) surpassed 20 points in a game for the 12th time this season, but it wasn't enough to help Goucher earn a Landmark Conference victory on the road this afternoon. Instead, the Gophers lost to Moravian, 70-59.

SCRANTON, Pa. - The number of teams sharing first place in the Landmark Conference was reduced from four to two this evening, and unfortunately, Goucher was one of the two that dropped out of the four-way tie for the top spot.

MADISON, N.J. - For a third time during the 2007-08 season, Goucher's Shadae Swan (Baltimore, MD/St. Frances Academy) has been selected Women's Basketball Player of the Week in the Landmark Conference.
