TOWSON, Md. — Another semester, another collective grade-point average of over 3.0 for the Goucher athletic department.

MADISON, N.J. — More than 30 female administrators, coaches, and student-athletes from across the Landmark Conference gathered at Drew University June 2-3 for the first Landmark Women’s Coaching Symposium.

TOWSON, Md. — The Goucher community gathered in Kraushaar Auditorium this afternoon for Convocation, the annual celebration of the academic and artisitic achievements of its students.

NEW ORLEANS — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its academic awards for the 2013 cross country season today, with Goucher runner Katherine Currier, as well as both the men’s and women’s teams, receiving recognition. Currier earned individual USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, while each program was honored as an All-Academic Team.

TOWSON, Md. — For the 28th-consecutive semester, a streak which has now lasted for well over a decade, Goucher’s men’s and women’s athletic programs have combined to register a grade-point average of over 3.0.

The Landmark Conference is full of talented student-athletes and the "Friday Focus" is just one way fans can get to know them. This week the conference introduces Katelynn Zidanic, Goucher cross country and track runner.

TOWSON, Md. — Kathryn Walker has been named the Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete for the sport of cross country, becoming the fourth Goucher cross country athlete to receive the prestigious recognition.

TOWSON, Md. — Six student-athletes from Goucher are among the 45 who are on the Fall 2013 All-Sportsmanship Team that the Landmark Conference issued this morning.

TOWSON, Md. — The Landmark Conference, which is in its seventh year of competition, today recognized 267 student-athletes for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the 2013 Fall Academic Honor Roll. Thirty of the honorees are from Goucher.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Katherine Currier (Brooklyn, N.Y./LaGuardia) became just the second runner in the history of Goucher's women's cross country program to earn all-region honors when she set a new school record for a 6,000-meter race today at the 2013 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championship.

TOWSON, Md. — Each of Goucher’s cross country teams will continue the postseason portion of their schedule tomorrow in the NCAA Division III Mideast Region Championships. The meet, hosted by Muhlenberg College, will be held at Lehigh University, and spots for next weekend’s National Championships will be on the line.

TOWSON, Md. — For being the first freshman to cross the finish line Saturday at the 2013 Landmark Connference Women's Cross Country Championship, Goucher's June Chiango (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing Area) was officially named the conference's Rookie of the Year today.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Goucher's Katherine Currier (Brooklyn, N.Y./LaGuardia) placed third overall and two of the junior's teammates joined her among the top 10 finishers as the Gophers claimed fourth place in the team scoring at today's 2013 Landmark Conference Championship conducted on the campus of the U.S. Soldiers' & Airmen's Home.

TOWSON, Md. — A junior on the equestrian team who was the top overall rider at the 2013 Tournament of Champions Preseason Classic and a junior on the women's cross country team who was the fastest Division III runner in two of the season's first three races have been selected Goucher's Male and Female Gophers of the Month for September.
