MADISON, N.J. — The Landmark Conference, which is in its fifth year of competition and is comprised of eight like-minded institutions in the mid-Atlantic region, today recognized 204 student-athletes for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the 2012 Winter Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll. Fifteen of the honorees are from Goucher.

READING, Pa. — Goucher avoided being overtaken by either Marywood or Drew by scoring 68 points today to finish in fifth place at the 2012 Landmark Conference Men's Swimming & Diving Championships with a team score of 272 points.

READING, Pa. — A school record that had stood for nearly 15 years was broken today at the 2012 Landmark Conference Men's Swimming & Diving Championships by Goucher's entry in the 800-yard freestyle relay.

READING, Pa. — Goucher came away from the two relay events that were contested tonight with 54 points and sits in fifth place with a total of 95 points after the opening day of the 2012 Landmark Conference Men's Swimming & Diving Championships.

KINGS POINT, N.Y. — Goucher's entry of Matthew Brower (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis), Brendan McFadden (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley), Charlie Leonard (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) and Kyle Williams (Andover, N.J./Newton) was victorious in the 400-yard medley relay, the opening event in a Landmark Conference double dual that took place this afternoon.

YORK, Pa. — Goucher's Matthew Brower (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) set a new school record in the 1,000-yard freestyle and four of his teammates combined to break the facility record in the 200-yard medley relay as the Gophers competed against two opponents out of the Capital Athletic Conference tonight.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher didn't pick up just its first victory of the 2011-12 season today. Instead, the Gophers conquered both opponents they faced this afternoon in the von Borries Aquatic Center as they defeated Arcadia, 64-30, and Gallaudet, 68-27.

MADISON, N.J. — Goucher's Matthew Brower (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) was recognized today as the Landmark Conference's Male Swimmer of the Week for Nov. 7-13.

TOWSON, Md. — Freshman Matthew Brower (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) ruled the two backstroke events and also swam the opening leg on Goucher's entry that set a new pool record while winning the 200-yard medley relay, but the Gophers still couldn't come up with their first win of the 2011-12 season today. Instead, head coach Thomas Till's squad bowed to Scranton, 158-100, in a Landmark Conference meet.

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. — Goucher outscored St. Mary's (Md.), 24-10, in the two relay events, but the Gophers took first place in only a pair of individual events as the Seahawks registered a 126-79 victory over head coach Thomas Till's squad this afternoon.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher's Georgi Shalamanov (Velingrad, Bulgaria/St. St. Kiril & Metodi) produced the fastest times in both the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard breaststroke today, but the Gophers were handed a 123-82 setback by Catholic in the second dual meet of the season for both Landmark Conference teams.

TOWSON, Md. — Georgi Shalamanov (Velingrad, Bulgaria/St. St. Kiril & Metodi) placed first in three contested individual events and also swam a leg on Goucher's victororious entry in the 400-yard medley relay as the Gophers opened their 2011-12 season at home today with a Landmark Conference meet against Susquehanna.
