NEW ORLEANS, La. — Goucher's men's cross country program is being recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the academic accomplishments of its student-athletes in 2008.

MADISON, N.J. – The Landmark Conference today recognized 355 student-athletes, including 39 from Goucher, for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the on the 2008 Fall Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll.

WAYNESBURG, Pa. – A freshman was Goucher's top performer today at the NCAA Division III Mid-East Regional.

ALTOONA, Pa. – Goucher's top five runners, starting with freshman Joey Negreann (Denver, Colo./Cherry Creek) in 37th place were separated by just 1:05 today at the 2008 Landmark Conference Championships conducted at Fort Roberdeau Historic Site.

BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. – Goucher's Joey Negreann (Denver, Colo./Cherry Creek) and Adam Scipione (Walpole, Mass./Walpole) both finished today's Eagle Invitational in under 28 minutes.

TOWSON, Md. – Goucher's Joe Negreann (Denver, Colo./Cherry Creek) placed 10th among runners from competing institutions and 14th overall today at the only race that will be run on the Goucher campus this season.

YORK, Pa. – Goucher's Matt Spitznagel (Parkton, Md./Friends School of Baltimore) crossed the finish line in seventh place and two of his teammates were among the top 25 runners at today's York Invitational, which was conducted at John Rudy Park.

WAYNESBURG, Pa. – Running on the same course that will be used in November for the NCAA Division III Mid-East Regionals, Goucher had an individual place as high as 38th and finished in ninth place in the team scoring at today's Waynesburg Invitational.

HUNT VALLEY, Md. – Goucher finished ahead of three Division I schools in capturing fifth place at the 26th annual Baltimore Metro Meet, which was conducted this afternoon at Oregon Ridge State Park.
