TOWSON, Md. — Although Goucher conducted a national search to fill the position, it found its new head volleyball coach right here in Maryland.

TOWSON, Md. — The Landmark Conference, which is in its ninth year of competition, today recognized 380 student-athletes for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the Fall 2015 Academic Honor Roll. Forty-six of the honorees are from Goucher.

TOWSON, Md. — One of the top setters in the history of the volleyball program and a freshman midfielder who supplied the goals in a pair of 1-0 victories for the men's soccer team over Landmark Conference opponents were chosen as Goucher's Male and Female Gophers of the Month for October.

DALLAS, Pa. — Goucher took a set from both opponents it faced today, but the Gophers' win total for 2015 remained stuck on nine.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Goucher played its final two Landmark Conference matches of the season today. The first was against Moravian, which kept its playoff chances alive by downing the Gophers, 3-0 (27-25, 25-12, 25-14), and then head coach Kelli Wilkinson's squad went up against Elizabethtown, which prevailed 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-22).

TOWSON, Md. — The four seniors on the 2015-16 roster accounted for 32 of Goucher's 41 kills, seven of the 12 service aces and all but one of the 33 assists in tonight's match against Penn St.-Mont Alto. Each one, playing for the final time in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center, contributed to a 3-0 victory over the Nittany Lions.

READING, Pa. — Fourteen kills. Nine lead changes. And that was just the first set of tonight's match between Goucher and Albright.

BALTIMORE, Md. — Goucher battled back to win the second set, tying this evening match's against Keystone at one set apiece, but the Giants went on to take the next two sets and claim a 3-1 victory over the Gophers.

TOWSON, Md. — Between them, Hannah Kuehl (Plymouth, N.H./Plymouth Regional) and Kelly Budge (Harrington Park, N.J./Northern Valley Old Tappan) had 30 kills for Goucher in tonight's match against Lancaster Bible in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center. More importantly, each one had six in the fourth set, which is where the Gophers finished off the Chargers, 3-1.

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Playing in the Landmark Conference means Goucher gets an opportunity every year to see how it stacks up against Juniata, a perennial Division III national championship contender.

TOWSON, Md. — With its back against the wall heading into the third set, Goucher fought back, winning the next two sets, to even the match against Shenandoah at two sets a piece. Unfortunately, the Hornets prevailed in the fifth set and departed the Decker Sports & Recreation Center with a 3-2 victory.

KINGS POINT, N.Y. — Goucher dropped a four-set match to Scranton this afternoon after the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy rallied to knock off the Gophers in five sets earlier in the day.

TOWSON, Md. — After scoring the final four points to pull out the third set and remain alive, Goucher watched Washington (Md.) jump out to a 7-0 advantage in the fourth set. Although the Gophers would get as close as 13-12, the Shorewomen never surrendered the lead and went on to complete a 3-1 victory tonight in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center.
