TOWSON, Md. — A senior rider on the equestrian team who just days ago became the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association national champion in open equitation on the flat was presented with the Coaches Award this evening during Goucher College's annual Athletics Awards Ceremony in Kraushaar Auditorium.

TOWSON, Md. — The 2014-15 All-Goucher Team was revealed at the conclusion of tonight’s Goucher Athletics Awards Ceremony, with 10 student-athletes and one coach honored on the Kraushaar Auditorium stage.

TOWSON, Md. — Equestrian rider Joey Fink, who finished as the national champion in open equitation on the flat at last week’s IHSA National Horse Show, and women’s track & field thrower Bri Prince, who broke a school record and finished as the Landmark runner-up in the shot put, have been selected as the final Gophers of the Month for 2014-15.

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The final two events in the Hunter Seat Collegiate Cup were contested today at the 2015 IHSA National Horse Show and with Joey Fink (Baltimore, Md./The Park School) earning three points for placing fourth in open equitation on the flat, Goucher finished the competition in seventh place.

RINGOES, N.J. — Goucher sent two riding teams to the inaugural Landmark Invitational, which was conducted today at Briarwood Farm at Black River Farm. The one that finished in first place at the IHSA Zone IV Championships back on March 28 won the championship of today's event with a score of 43 points.

TOWSON, Md. — Patte Zumbrun, who served as director and head coach of Goucher's equestrian program for 26 years, was presented with the prestigious Intercollegiate Horse Show Association's (IHSA) Lifetime Achievement Award today.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher had already clinched one of the zone's two bids to the Collegiate Cup Hunter Seat competition at the 2015 IHSA National Horse Show, but head coach Jen Bunty's riding team still had ground to make up on St. Andrews heading into the final rotation at the IHSA Zone IV Championships today.

They, along with Erika Scott (Stonington, Conn./The Williams School), will represent Goucher at the Zove IV Championships on March 28.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher clinched the 2014-15 IHSA Zone IV Region I title by scoring 39 points at today's riding show, enough to give head coach Jen Bunty's squad an insurmountable lead over its closest pursuer in the region standings.

OATLAND, Md. — Goucher made it 5-for-5 in regular season shows this season after a convincing 11-point victory in the Maryland IHSA Show at The Other Left Farm this afternoon.

TOWSON, Md. — Men’s swimmer Sam Davis, who set two new school records and won three individual races, and equestrian rider Sarah Lummis, who picked up a Tournament of Champions series blue ribbon and earned 15 points for Goucher during three TOC shows, have been chosen as the December/January Gophers of the Month.

Laurinburg, N.C. — Goucher’s equestrian program has set an endless number of milestones in recent years, and this weekend’s series-concluding Winter Classic Tournament of Champions show gave the team a chance to add another accomplishment to that list.
