MADISON, N.J. - The Landmark Conference announced today that 32 student-athletes have been honored with selection to the 2007 Fall Landmark All-Academic Team. Two male and two female athletes from each of the eight Landmark institutions make up the team which recognizes athletes who have excelled athletically and academically.

MADISON, N.J. - Five volleyball players were among the 30 student-athletes from Goucher who were recognized by the Landmark Conference for academic accomplishments today by being included on the 2007 Fall Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll.

MADISON, N.J. - Megan Smith (Honolulu, HI/Long Beach Polytechnic) became the first volleyball player from Goucher to earn all-conference honors since 1999 when she was part of the 2007 All-Landmark Conference Volleyball Team that was announced today.

GRANTHAM, Pa. - After her 16-kill performance earlier in the day against Widener, sophomore outside hitter Megan Smith (Honolulu, HI/Long Beach Polytechnic) entered Goucher's final match of the 2007 campaign today needing 28 kills to break the school record for most kills in a season.

GRANTHAM, Pa. - Goucher split a pair of matches today - and in the process, Sarah Kendall (North Plainfield, NJ/Rutgers Prep) became only the fifth player in the history of the school's volleyball program to surpass 1,300 career digs.

STEVENSON, Md. - Goucher has beaten Lincoln, Notre Dame (Md.) and Washington Bible twice apiece this season, but until tonight's 3-0 setback to Villa Julie, the Gophers hadn't lost to the same opponent two times in 2007.

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher picked up the two wins today it needed to guarantee finishing above .500. The first was a 3-1 victory over Hood and the second a 3-0 triumph over Rutgers-Newark.

TOWSON, Md. - What it took Goucher four games to do five nights ago, it accomplished in just three games tonight - defeat Notre Dame (Md.). The Gophers handed the Gators (4-16) a 3-0 setback, winning 30-19, 30-15, 30-16.

TOWSON, Md. - One day after Goucher picked up its first win over a conference opponent since 2001, head coach Michael Bossom's Gophers defeated Susquehanna, 3-1, to nail down fifth place in their inaugural season in the Landmark Conference.

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Trailing 2-1 after three games, Goucher prevailed in the final two games tonight to earn a 24-30, 30-27, 26-30, 30-24, 15-12 victory over Washington (Md.).

LANHAM, Md. - Goucher picked up its second win of the season over Washington Bible tonight, but also was tagged with a loss to Philadelphia Biblical.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Membership in the Landmark Conference afforded Goucher the opportunity to play the defending Division III national champions and that opportunity presented itself today on Juniata's home court. It was a tall order for the Gophers, but one from which head coach Michael Bossom's players never backed down.
