TOWSON, Md. — At halftime of tonight's men's basketball game, Goucher's men's lacrosse team was honored for its 2012 season, which included a Landmark Conference championship, an NCAA victory and an 18-2 overall record.

PERRY, N.Y. — The three players who concluded their careers at Goucher by accounting for almost 60 percent of the 386 points the Gophers accumulated this season were rewarded for their performances by being named 2012 Division III All-Americans today by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
PERRY, N.Y. — Two players from Goucher — attackman Kyle Boncaro (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) and midfielder Matt Lynch (Ivyland, Pa./LaSalle College) — have been selected to play in the upcoming 71st annual USILA/LaxWorld Division III North/South Game in Boston, according to a release issued today by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.

BEREA, Ohio — Matt Lynch (Ivyland, Pa./LaSalle College), a senior midfielder on Goucher's men's lacrosse team, was named today to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-District II Men's Division III At-Large Team, which was chosen by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

SALISBURY, Md. — As it did in 1999 and again in 2003, Goucher's 2012 season came to an end with a loss to Salisbury in Sea Gull Stadium.

CHESTERTOWN, Md. — For a good portion of this afternoon's game, it appeared as though Rory Averett (Ivyland, Pa./Council Rock North) might score enough goals to assure a Goucher victory over Washington (Md.) in the opening round of the 2012 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship.

MADISON, N.J. — Goucher players were recipients of both of the weekly honors the Landmark Conference bestowed today in the sport of men's lacrosse: senior midfielder Matt Lynch (Ivyland, Pa./LaSalle College) was named Offensive Player of the Week and senior short-stick midfielder Jackson Lane (Aurora, Colo./Smoky Hill) was named Defensive Player of the Week for April 30-May 6.
