MADISON, N.J. - The Landmark Conference today announced the names of the 32 student-athletes who make up the 2008 Fall Landmark All-Academic Team, which recognizes two male and two female athletes who have excelled athletically and academically from each of the eight Landmark institutions.

TOWSON, Md. – Goucher surpassed a team attack percentage of .400 in a match for the first time in nearly a decade when the Gophers registered a .448 in tonight's 3-0 triumph in the Sports & Recreation Center over Washington Bible.

BALTIMORE, Md. – Goucher had to go five sets to defeat Notre Dame (Md.) the first time the two teams met this season back on September 18. In tonight's rematch, the Gophers accomplished their mission in two fewer sets, winning 3-0.

TOWSON, Md. – Goucher ran its winning streak against non-conference opponents in the Sports & Recreation Center to 10 matches by turning back Hood, 3-0, tonight.

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Goucher snapped a four-match losing streak this evening with a 3-0 victory over Lincoln.

MADISON, N.J. –The Landmark Conference today named Megan Smith (Honolulu, Hawaii/Long Beach Polytechnic), a junior outside hitter on Goucher's volleyball team, as the Player of the Week for her sport for the seven-day period that started September 29.

KINGS POINT, N.Y. – Even though Goucher sustained a 3-0 loss to Scranton today, the Gophers still earned a spot in the Landmark Conference postseason championship tournament when the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy was beaten by Moravian.

KINGS POINT, N.Y. – Goucher's Megan Smith (Honolulu, Hawaii/Long Beach Polytechnic) established new school and Landmark Conference records for kills in a match today. Her 35-kill performance helped the Gophers reach a fifth game against Moravian, but the Greyhounds were able to come out on top, 3-2.

FROSTBURG, Md. – Megan Smith (Honolulu, Hawaii/Long Beach Polytechnic) was back in Goucher's line-up for the first time in nearly three weeks tonight, but the junior outside hitter's return wasn't enough for the Gophers to knock off Frostburg St. Instead, the Bobcats (19-2) turned back head coach Michael Bossom's squad, 3-0.

FREDERICK, Md. – Goucher defeated Trinity (D.C.), 3-0, and Hood, 3-0, today to get to .500 for the first time during the 2008 campaign.
